BGEE Crown Hair & Fashion House ("BGEE Crown", "we", "us") is a Queensland-based creative studio operating as an ABN-registered business. We operate a hair salon, an online fashion boutique, and produce the annual BGEE Crown African Heritage Fashion Experience. Our principal place of business is Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

- Booking — appointment details, hair notes, stylist preferences
- Payment — transaction records (card data processed by Stripe; we never store raw card numbers)
- Attendance — event ticket details, RSVP records, check-in data
- Usage — pages visited, device type, referral source (via Plausible Analytics, cookie-free)
- Media — photographs or video taken at our events where you have given consent
03 · How We Use It
We use your personal information to:
- Process bookings, orders, and ticket purchases
- Send transactional emails (booking confirmations, reminders, order updates)
- Respond to inquiries and provide customer support
- Send marketing communications where you have opted in
- Comply with legal and tax obligations (7-year record retention)
- Improve our services through aggregated, anonymised analytics
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

07 · Retention & Security
We retain booking and transaction records for 7 years to meet Australian tax obligations. Other personal data is deleted within 12 months of your last interaction unless we have a lawful basis to retain it longer.
Data is stored in encrypted databases with restricted access controls. Payment card data is never stored on our servers — all card processing is handled exclusively by Stripe.
